Bret Hatfield – Founder & Executive Vice President

Bret Hatfield is one of the founders of Lucidity.  For the past 5 years, Bret served as Managing Partner of the firm.  Beginning in late 2010, Bret led the effort to change the company’s governance from a traditional partnership model to more of a professional, corporate structure by forming Lucidity’s Board of Directors in early 2011.  During that same time period, Bret also led the charge to recruit Clint Brice to Lucidity as its CEO.

Today, Bret is a key leader serving as Executive Vice President in addition to being a member of Lucidity’s Board of Directors.  In his role as Executive Vice President, Bret is in charge of corporate development focused on overall company growth.  This includes strategic planning and partnerships, as well as providing major account oversight and assisting with key account pursuits.

Bret started his career in the audit group of Arthur Andersen then spent several years in industry as the Controller for the Dallas Cowboys Football Club before returning to Arthur Andersen as part of its business consulting practice.  Bret was then recruited to Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to help grow its Oracle practice prior to starting Lucidity in 2001.  Bret holds a BBA degree from Texas A&M University and practiced as a CPA prior to starting his consulting career.  Outside of work, Bret enjoys spending time with his wife and three young sons.
